From Filmtracks:
Composer Michael Kamen has died at the age of 55 after suffering from multiple sclerosis for several years, according to his agent. Initial reports point to a heart attack, but further details were not immediately available. Kamen, one of Hollywood's most successful composers, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1996, but did not go public about the disease until late September of this year.
D?mn shame. I'm a big fan of the X-Men score (I'm one of few ) but no one can deny his work on Die Hard was awesome stuff.

I thought the Die Hard score was amazing. He puncuates just about every funny scene.
I thought the Metallica S&M was another highlight. What a brave colaboration, for both Metallica and Kamen.
Okay. I did my share of posthumous a$$kissing.
